    my DIY hammock seat

Saw this http://thehammockseat.com/forms/Fana...icOutdoors.php and decided to take a crack at it. I used 4' of 64" wide 1.1 and folded it over to get 32". Came out a little narrow I bet 40" or so would be better. I gathered up each end so its just like a small hammock. Just slapped it on the tree with some cord I had and used a dirty old pipe for the pole but it worked great, I could pivot and everything. I bet a hiking pole could work and probably just use your hammock suspension. Sorry for the butt pic lol.

    Nice & simple - I LIKE!
What's the trick to getting the angle of the pipe right so it doesn't wollap you in the kahunas?
Looks like that digital-camo Taslite I bought at WallyWorld.

I think that's a universal question every male has been asking since the beginning of time.

The pole goes up between youre legs and balances itself and you can pivot to look around the tree without it slipping

At first I tried to make a pocket similar to the hennessey clone where you sew the end channel into sort of a tube but really it just kind of pushes up against the gathered end and finds its own resting spot. Im thinking of trying a sewn on grograin pocket that it can go into or maybe a tapered pole that pushes into the gathered end.

Just thinking, I have some 1/4" ccf. With a dbl. layer it could easily be insulated for cool weather comfort. I like this for sure, and was today trying to come up with something for a hang next month, great timing.

No worries about the pole just ripping through the fabric?
