    Hello from South Carolina

Hello everyone. I am not a real hammocker yet, but I am about to pull the trigger on an HH Explorer Delux. I am 6'8" and 275 lbs, and it looks like this one will fit. I have read many posts, which has been helpful and overwhelming.

I would like to give some of the experts a chance to talk me out of this or suggest something else that would fit better before I spend a bunch of money.

    Thanks for the help.

Welcome from the coast. Come on down to the spring swing next month. You can check out other gear and hammocks. Plus we have BBQ I mean what else could you ask for?

Welcome from five minutes away in Irmo. At 6'4", I can appreciate how hard it is to find a hammock with a good lay for tall people. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you might have.

Welcome from McCormick, SC and I will also suggest coming to the Spring Swing so you can check out all sorts of gear, and more hammocks than you can imagine. I think it is better to wait and checkout hammocks at the hang and try some out to see what you like best before you spend the money. I would recommend an 11 ft hammock.
If you want to check it out first and need a hammock for the Spring Swing, I will have an extra for you to use, so you don't have to purchase until you know for sure what you want. Just PM me and let me know.
Or, if you just want to come and spend the day checking out gear and hammocks with us, you are welcome to do that also. Warning, you may have so much fun you won't want to leave.
Good luck to you, and I hope to see you at the Spring Swing.
