    DIY climashield uq

The uq will be 72"W and 46"W, what should my differential cut be?

Put five 1" darts on each 72" side (that's called the "length"). Don't space them evenly; make them closer together near the middle, where your butt will make the hammock curve more. The darts should extend about 12" toward the center line. The edges of the triangles you cut out to make the darts can be curved outward a bit, but they don't have to be. Also put two or three larger darts in each end of the underquilt (the 46" edges), maybe 3" wide and 18" long.
    ------
The above suggestion is called S.W.A.G. (scientific wild-*** guess). It only describes the bottom layer of the underquilt. The top layer is similar, but smaller. There other ways of doing this, many of them better, some simpler. Let us know how you do. Feel free to ask more questions and/or supply more information about your project. I know, this can be baffling,
