Good point. I've mainly been in a DL Hiker Lite with mine, so the thickness makes it a little harder to slide... Likewise, Shane's hanging in a thicker custom double layer these days, too. So with that in mind, we can say for the thinner 1.1, 1.0 single layer hammocks (WW and WWM), sliding works. For doubles or thicker fabrics (Camper and Camper XL), probably not so much. Thanks for mentioning that, Shawn.

I don't think I'd ever try that sliding-to-one-end thing. With Dutch Whoopie hooks, deploying the bug net when I need it is not that hard.

I still need to try my whoopie hooks. That might change my outlook.

I have the DW WH as well. It does make installation/removal a lot easier.

I'm not sure myself, but I've got a friend that has one I'll be seeing this weekend and see if he can try it out. I honestly don't think it will be the best for it, but I really don't know. I'll let you know the results.
    It'll be alright Friday!

Have you guys ever, or would you ever, consider making a version that has a larger opening on one end that cinches shut, like a bug sock, so that it can be slid back for lounging? An opening large enough to slide over a hammock and UQ. Keep the bottom opening for entry and exit but have the large end opening for lounging and setting up your rig. It's something I had planned on making one until I got a Darien UL.
