Are you using it just to make the hems nice & neat and reinforced, or are you going to run shock cord through a grosgain channel?

1.5" for shock cord channels. Most fabric vendors will also have grosgrain, usually called roll goods.
Any fabric store and most craft stores will carry grosgrain.

Im using webbing for grosgrain
Get your grosgrain from http://www.questoutfitters.com/index.html or one of the DIY suppliers on this forum. The quality is much better than the cheap stuff from the fabric stores.
I believe it is also called bias tape.
