Utah Hanger, Returning to a new world of hammocking

So I figured i woud introduce myself finally. I have loved to hammock camp for years now. I was first introduced in scouts in the high Uintahs in Utah. My friend, his dad, and I were the only ones who ever slept in hammocks. Everyone else thought we were so weird but they had not idea what they were missing out on. Well after many fun trips, I left the country for a few years and after that decided I needed to go to college. Through all that, my backpacking and hanging adventures got put on hold. Now I am trying to get back into it all again with a family and a little boy I hope will love it as much as I do. Although I must say that the equipment and setups have changed so much since when I first started. That or I just didn't know about anything then. Either way, I am loving all this new knowledge and getting to see what you guys are doing to make hanging the best it can be.

Almost forgot, my favorite part is sleeping next to the river where I know the fish are waiting. Gotta love the soothing sound of the water while swaying in the hammock to the gentle breeze.

Utah Hanger, Returning to a new world of hammocking

Hey welcome!! Just hearing you talk about the Uintas gets me all stoked! Especially with the warmer weather we had today! Welcome to the forum! I thought I'd include this link for the first (at least that I know of) hang in Utah! I know me and my buddies are excited to meet some fellow Utah hangers, and it would be a good place for you to check out a whole bunch of new gear that has come out! https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=68458
