Are these dynaglide whoopies worn out?

See pics. Are these dynaglide whoopies worn out? I have probably 30 hanging nights in them. I'm 155 pounds and try to be very gentle with my gear. But these look a bit dangerous to me. Is it normal for this type of apparent fraying where the loaded line exits the bury? 30 nights doesn't seem like a lot, and 155 pounds is well under the 200 pound limit for dynaglide, right? I'm going over my gear for a solo bike tour (just 3 nights) and I'm getting paranoid looking at these. Please share thoughts.

Mine looked like that as well. I didn't feel comfortible with them, so I swapped them out. Use your best judgement, if tou don't feel safe with the whoopies, change them out.

If you don't feel safe on it... Don't hang on it... Pretty simple... Hang your own hang... I would not hang on dynaglide at all because there isn't enough safety factor... But hang your own hang...

I'm seeing more and more of dynaglide fraying like that. I believe its caused by the hammock's sway. I would go ahead and swap it out with Amsteel, the weight penalty isn't much, and I'd rather carry 2 more ounces and be sure of my gear. But as the others have said, HYOH!

Yes, they will probably go for another 30 nights but why risk it.

Is 30 to 60 nights for dynaglide unusually short life?

For a 155-pounder who babies his gear, is this wear amount at 30 nights unusual? If as Dutch says I can get another 30 nights, isn't 60 nights still pretty short of a lifespan? I suppose it's only about $0.50/night, which is pretty cheap, but what if I were doing a really long thru-hike?

I have not used dynaglide, but it doesn't look like it's breaking, just a little fray where the line twist. I have thought about using it, but like the extra capacity of the Amsteel and it's worth it for very little weight penalty......RR

I've replaced whoopies with less fraying than that.

Not an expert on this, but my Amsteel Whoopies looked much worse than this after 1 summer. I think it has to do with the way I torque them down. I swap them out to only use in a pinch.
