Old fashioned Ovals. I also have lighter Black Diamond ones but I do not like the one end smaller than the other or ribbed designs. Ribs create stress points while ovals don't care which end goes where and clip over the shoulders of my life jacket better. ;-)
    YMMV

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the metolius biner is 25 grams (yes I know the argument is ridiculous, but facts are facts)... the camp nano 23 is the lightest biner there is at 23 grams (climbing rated biner) the metolius is 25 and the ange s biner is 28. The difference is that the ange s does not have a catch for the wire gate that will interfere with clipping your suspension on (actually its the off part that is the inconvenience). And at 10 grams a pair more than the camp nano 23... its not much to worry about for the convenience of the easy clip.

    Whats your favorite Carabiner

According to REI's specs, the metolius mini's are 23g. I measured mine once upon a time but can't remember what they were.

A 1500lb bs softie with a 1.0-1.5" diameter weighs about 4g. For personal use only and low-risk situations I use softies I make for <$0.25 with a bs of half that. They weigh just a couple of grams and take me less than two minutes to make.

Soft-shackles are best-used as "strong and secure knots in Dyneema that can be undone", not at all as clip-in attachment points. Say you've made your camp-site, slept in your hmmk, but wish to take it along (for security) on the next-day's hike, leaving the straps in place on the trees.

Very satisfying to return, un-stuff, and click-click your carabiners and be re-hung again that easily.
