    Zing-it and Prussiks?

What is zing it? I know rope but why so popular? Strength to size is my guess?

    Try a Klemheist Knot

I use a Klemheist Knot on my Zing It. It holds better that a Prussik knot.

Strength, size and it's doesn't get as tangled as regular cord. You can also splice it which is stronger than a knot.

I use a taut line hitch, or mid shipmans knot ,they work well without slipping.

If you've got the room for them slide on a couple of UCR's. They hold better and don't bind up like prusiks . Once I get a prusik or klemheist to hold as well as I'd like they become very hard to adjust, not so with a short section of UCR that can slide into position, lock up tight then slide away when you're done.
    Good luck,

I have thought about trying a UCR. How much bury is needed for a good hold? It looks a little difficult because of the small diameter. Any tricks or tools that will help?

I use some .025" stainless wire for splicing etc zingit. I use a 5" bury ( thats about regulation IIRC). You might get away with shorter but I haven't played with it to see what I can get away with.
    Good luck,
