Zing-it and Prussiks?

I was pretty excited to get my Zing-it to replace my mason's line for a tarp ridgeline but I can't get a prussik to hold on it. I have tried several different types of line I have on hand and even a Klemheist knot - even tried wearing down the waxy coating on the zing-it a bit to help it grip. But...still slipping.
What are you folks doing or using for a prussik type attachment to Zing-it?

Gotta do a six or eight turn prussik to get zing it to hold. You will love it when you get it to work.

I've never needed more than four wraps for a Zing-it on Zing-it Prusik. The zlippery coating will wear off pretty quick and they will bite.

I used 4 wraps for mine, could've got away with 3, went a lil overkill for piece of mind.

What size/diameter zing-it is that, may I ask? I'm looking to do the same.

I used to use 2.2, but now I use 1.75 mm exclusively.

If you are using these for tarp guy out lines, don't go more than 3 warps if you are using the same size line for the prussic and the main guy line. You want the prussic to slip beyond a certain force (and it will slip) so that your tarp fabric doesn't rip in strong winds.

OK - this is 1.75mm Zing-it with the same line for the prussiks.
By going to 5 wraps I was able to stop the slipping. I think, as Silvrsurfr said, that the slippery coating will wear off some with time and use.
The prussik that I don't want to slip is for my full length ridgeline - I like to pull it tight. I also use prussiks on each end of the tarp - those I can go with less wraps because a little slippage may be acceptable, even desirable.
