    First Backpacking Adventure!

I live in Grass Valley, CA and I decided for my 21st birthday to go backpacking around the Grouse Ridge Trail area. We only hiked about 2 miles because there was about 3 feet of snow, but it was so much fun. I literally can't wait to go again. I was using a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter, which did pretty good, but I found out that I suck at putting up tarps and my idea to use Reflectix did ok but it kept sliding down so I ended up freezing and not sleeping at all that night. I woke up to find my feet were sticking out of the tarp and it was snowing so my hammock and sleeping bag got soaked. Also my $8 tarp did ok, but I didn't pack enough paracord to hang out up somewhat correctly so it sagged and wasn't quite big enough. It was by far the best birthday I've ever had haha

Good for you! Nothing like doing it and learning from your mistakes...and having fun while doing it as well. Happy belated Birthday!

Mighty fine that you got out there in the snow and all. I did some Hammock How-To videos that may give you some help. Hammock How-Tos
    Tarps start at part 5....
    Hope give some insight.
    Carry forth.

Way to go! Good to get some miles under your belt and some snow on your feet and some good experiences in the wilds. Happy Birthday and may there be many more.

I'm watching your unicycling video right now haha I'm already subscribed to you and have watched almost all your vids. Also learned almost everything about hammocks from your videos.
