Can somebody rattle off a list of double-layer hammocks? I'm looking for the lightest weight double-layer hammock. Just the hammock. No bug net. No suspension. Just the basic hammock. Thanks.

Bias Weight Weenie is the first thing that comes to mind..

I like the BIAS (Butt In A Sling) because you can customize it to basically whatever you want. Check it out.
I think one of us made a dbl layer out of Momentum 50. Called it the Black Hole?
I may not remember that correctly; so, don't quote me!

Darien UL is probably lightest with bugnet.
EDIT> I was wrong, Darien is only single layer. Sorry.

Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
I've got the BIAS WWM in a double and it's super light and very comfortable.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
I say just go DIY, cheap and easy to do. Might be able to pull it off with no stitches

Go M 50 material on a double layered gathered end hammock and you have the lightest as the material is the lightest you can use. However,,,there is a question of how long it will last as the durability of the material has never been thoroughly tested by any of our members long enough to say that it is worth the effort or money. There is a few members just now getting into it and using it, but haven't seen much of any reporting on its effectiveness or durablity.

M50 is $12.95/yd at Thru Hiker (plus shipping). It takes four yards to make an 11 foot, stitched end hammock x 2 for a double layer, leaving a little fabric left over for a bag. To make a DIY M50, your cost, after fabric cost, cord, thread, shipping, etc., would easily be $120, plus time and labor.
A BIAS WW DL is $88 + about $8 shipping or $96. The obvious advantage is no fiddling/building (comes with a ridgeline).
A DIY 1.1 (fabric from backwoods daydreamer @ $3.95/yd.) would be about $50.
These are estimates and could vary based on your cord options and hammock design, but I think these are at least ballpark figures.
