A while back I had posted regarding my in-store purchased one and how I had a pretty cold night out with it. I did return it and had a new one shipped. This one had much better loft and I could tell it was a better quality bag. I've since used the new one on a couple trips with my New River 30 and am please to say I've been toasty warm into the mid 40's and 60's at night. Very pleased with this bag. Cheap, light and compact. Lets keep this string going!
hay all! this is off topic-but on topic. i have a slumber jack- super Guid. insulation- thermolite. rated for 30 degree bag. i wanted to test this puppy out, but it was mid work week. got home that night and popped my windows open!!! in mid winter in Vermont and froze my x-roommate out!!!LOL! he looked like the yonger brother from a Christmas story the next morning LOL... any way, if your core temp runs hot you will be fine till about 10 degree or so. for a normal person it will do great at 30.
this bag is nolonger made. just found out looking for a price. but i did find a sluberjack ultimate +20 bag. the price is $46 up to $80 geting mixed weights. the slumberjack latitude +20 onthere site is $65. just my thoughts on another line of bags im a slumberjck guy after what i did with my bag. hope this helps some!
oh, the ultimate 20 bag is 2lbs,15oz. for the short. 3lbs 14oz for the regular. and 4lbs 2oz for the long.

Maybe I missed it among the 16pgs of this thread, but has anyone tried fixing it into a UQ? I'm highly considering it at this point, but wanted to see if anyone had any feedback.
I got this bag before even reading this thread... Spent a 30* night in it but made a huge mistake. Took it out of the sack and didn't shake the loft back into it.
Needles to say my night sucked.
Give it the tennis-ball treatment, it will feel like a different bag!

What is the tennis ball treatment?
Walmart is always placing overstock in their clearance isle. You can also catch it at season end at clearance to pull the stock level down to "full year" levels. Always check clearance isles before purchasing in the normal location.
Throw down item in dryer on no heat setting with 2-5 tennis balls for a few minutes to break up down clumps and evenly distribute the down due to tumbling and pummeling.
