Usually they are in stuff sacks as opposed to true compression sacks and even then they aren't overly compressed. I would say that you shouldn't have a problem.

Just Hanging Out !
I just bought one of these bags and I am very impressed. I have no field tested it yet, but I can tell that I will be pleased with my purchase. Since my camping time is split between ,y hammock and my tent (gasp!), I plan to leave the hood intact.
In my hammock, I have no doubt that this will work perfectly as a TQ while continuing to use my CCF pad for bottom insulation.
VERY anxious to get this puppy outdoors!
My wife just informed me that she's getting a new king size comforter to replace our old one.... Do I just go this route & use more fill, or do I go another route? For an UQ...
Used mine as a TQ at the Fall MAHHA. Friday night it got down to 45 and my toes were cold but the rest of me was very comfortable. Saturday night it got down to about 35 and my whole body was very comfortable including my toes. Dont know what I did difrently but no cold toes at 35.
So overall the ozark sleeping bag would be a good beginner top quilt for winter camping?
I used mine at the MAHHA too. First night was ok, but once it got into the 30's I needed to add my poncho liner TQ. After that, I slept like a baby. I would not want to take mine below 40 by itself.
