Walmart Ozark Trails Down Sleeping Bag

I just saw 2 at 2 different WalMarts in Columbia SC yesterday. That was 2 at each store. They must have just gotten them in since i did not see them last Friday.

I agree, it all depends of where your located and at what temps your comfortable with. After using it this year in Michigan, I look at using it more as a 1 season (summer) use and a possible late spring, early fall option. I'm comfortable down to about the low 50's with this bag. For warmer weather, it's great and packs down small.

Since I just picked up a Enlightened Eq. RevX 20, I'll use the Ozark for warm weather outings. It's still a great deal and I'd recommend buying it on-line and not in the store. The ones I've seen in the stores appear to have been picked over, so you'll have a better chance of getting a better quality version online.

Got curious and picked one up. It will be going back tomorrow. This bag has roughly the same loft as the JCP Puffer jackets(puffer top quilts).

Have one. Love it as summer quilt or down to 45-50 degrees. Lower than that and you're gonna be cold. Not much down. Great little bag and compact. Great price.

I ordered mine online with the inflatable pad. The sleeping bag arrived in a couple of days without the pad, and the price was $51. I wonder if the pad will arrive later.

I thought about buying two and cannibalizing one to stuff the other. After some figuring I decided I could buy some down from widlerness logics ($7/ounce; 850+ fill) for less and have better fill. There are about 10 baffles that I want to fill with 1/2 ounce each or until they look pretty even.

This bag from Downright is about the same price ($77.96) as the Ozark bag but looks like it has better loft in the photos. Anyone try one of these?

That's a strange site. Someone told me that bag weighs 3 lbs. I can't find any specs. Their other two offerings are both rated for much lower temp ranges, but cost less than the Voyager.

I did see 550 FP.

It is an odd site. The specs say it weights 3lbs. I have to hope that is shipping weight. Also I suspect that it's not 100% down. The draft and zipper collars are probably poly fill. That's pure speculation on my part. I was just curious if anyone here had tried one of these yet. I see WallyWorld also carries them for around $97.

My inflatible pad came a couple of days later than the bag. It has a separate invoice. I'll just take that one back!

I tried out my hammock and the sleeping bag with no modifications. It was good to about 50 degrees.
