Bought one a couple days ago. Took it home to check it out. I have no experience with other 35 degree down bags. My only down bag is a -20. So there is going to be a fill difference. But IMHO this bag is lacking fill big time. I held it up to a light and there are lots of space with no insulation. I will be returning it to Wally world. I will be interested in others opinions.

Just picked mine up. Got to love site to store. At any rate it is lofting up pretty good. As to the fill it reminds me of the puffer coats everyone was getting back a bit. It seems like it will not keep you warm but those jackets work well so I am ready to try this out in the woods. Will report back after I finally get time to hit the testing grounds.

Sounds like it's worth a look. I'm anxious to hear how some tests go too!

I have slept in a HH with this as a top quilt, and an older not overstuffed 40ºF JRB nest bottom quilt.
I was wearing light wool top and bottom thermals, with my jeans and wool shirt still on from that day, wool socks and beanie. It got down to 28ºF that night and I have to admit I woke up the next morning and had no idea it got that cold, I slept well all night!

I was very skeptical because like it has been mentioned, the down is poorly distributed with there being spots in the body that look like there is none, and the hood being nicely lofted, but I think it will make a great ≥40º bag/topquilt for the budget conscious.

Did you pay full price for the bag or did you pay $15 for it? If you got it for $15, I could buy it from you. I wanted one of these bags so I could make a UQ from it actually.

I already have a Columbia Moonstone 800FP bag...and no, I have NO plans on cutting that bag up

I just got one too! I think I may use it as my tq or possibly turn it into an uq.

Got my 2 today. Really surprised how thin it is, but maybe the down hasn't woken up yet. Hope to test it out this weekend.

I tried it out and warmed up very quickly. I guess we'll see how it turns out this weekend.

Couldn't hold off, so I climbed in last night at bedtime (cold bedroom, 60* or less). Didn't run me out in 20 minutes like I expected, but I'll reserve judgement for after a real test. The shell fabric is very comfortable, even against bare skin.
