Interesting thought. I wonder what others think on this idea?

Could I use this methodology to convert this bag into a decent 20deg topquilt for about $100 total?

Got this bag about a week ago. Was a little concerned about the loft at first . Set it up in my garage with my BB and a thin pad. 47 degrees and toasty. I could see using it down to 30 without a problem. great bag for the price.

Saw one in walmart the other day. Pretty small and light.
Got a few friends that are deathly allergic to duck feathers/down. My dad is also. I've never really messed around with ducks close enough to know if I am allergic but its weird how someone can be perfectly fine with Goose Down but deathly allergic to Duck Down. I wonder if alot of people are allergic to Duck compared to Goose. Just trying to figure out why one is cheaper than the other. Anyways, if you're not allergic to duck down then this seems to be a pretty decent deal.

Duck down doesn't have the same warmth properties as goose down, thus why it is cheaper.

I just picked one up and like the idea of adding a few more ounces of down. Any ideas on the best way to do it? Pics/advice from anyone who has done it would be much appreciated.

I've been following this thread and am thinking of getting one of these bags myself. I have a have another synthetic mummy that is great but just to bulky for carrying on my motorcycle with my new WBBB.

I am a little concerned about the actual temp rating of this bag however even for a summer bag in Colorado as the weather can change very quickly.

Has anyone moved the down from the bottom of the bag into the top layer like the big agnes bags? I don't know how these bags are constructed or how difficult this would be. but it would seem to boost the temp of the bag quite a bit without adding to the cost, bulk or weight.
