ENO TQ and UQ are live.

ENO just announced on FB their new TQ and UQ are available to purchase.

Folks are riding them hard on FB about the prices vs temp rating...and so they should. 35-40 degrees... I can get that with a pad and PLUQ for a small fraction of the price they want for the set- almost laughable.

Again Im sure they are very well made but man paying that much for a logo is just nutty.

Yeah, I like their hammocks alright, but have basically given up on their ability to make good supporting elements. Sad.

These might be quality products, but at $300/pop, we'll never know.

They sure are pricey. I will be attending Canoecopia this weekend in Madison, WI, and ENO IS there. Last year they introduced their Ember underquilt there, so maybe they will have a few of these underquilts, and top quilts to take a look at. I am not a huge fan of the ember underquilt. I purchased one last year with a discount card, but if I had to pay full price, I would not have...

I'd have to say that sounds like a rip off, compared to the temp ratings, FP, and price, not to mention the customer service, quality, or detail, you get with a cottage vendor. I like my double nest, and use atlas straps with it or my HH, but that seems very ridiculous temp/price comparatively speaking.

Attended Canoecopia this weekend in Madison, WI, and ENO had a Booth there. I did get a chance to fondle the new Underquilt, and Top quilt. I have to admit, They both looked, and felt nice, but There is no way that I would pay those prices. The rep that was there did mention that buy Q4 of 2013, they were also going to be having a Synthetic Version of the "Ember" Which is wierd, as I thought that was synthetic to start with..... Who knows... But the new ones did look nice.

Mugen, I would have to agree with that 100%. we all know you can get another 15-20 for the same price. my ahe new river cost $150 and goes to 30f in fact i slept in 14f in it! p.s i did get cold but the temp was half the rating.... I will say it does look like a nice piece of gear, but they should think about their price???

I personally see this in a different light.

Sure, not many folks on these forums will buy them, especially compared with our more in-depth knowledge of available products and the cottage industry. I know I won't.

But, Eno's distribution channels blow most of the cottage vendors out of the water. Warbonnet or HammockGear aren't selling at REI, Backcountry.com or similar places. Eno does. So, while these are priced too high, hopefully they'll get better, and more varied hammock gear into the hands of the masses. As more folks get into hammocks, we all benefit.

Good for those here on the forums? Probably not. Good for the Hammock community? I think they might be.

Interesting that they cut corners by using a lower fill down. 650 on the TQ and 750 on the UQ. I might get them if the price were ALOT lower just for a lower end option. Like a back up for friends. For myself I will always stick with the quality and awesome customer service at HG.

Wow. I bought their hammock, but used my own suspension and underquilts. It's why I liked Hennessy. Buy one thing, in one sack, and you're set to go.
