I am in! been there done that, but it has been years as this section is not on the longer more completed section of the ozark trail. In fact I haven't been on this section since the dam was repaired.

Skygzr, it will be good to have you along!

I got word that there is overnight parking at the Hwy N TH near Johnson Shut-ins. Connects via the scour trail. So, if anyone wants to join us Saturday, this is probably where you'll want to park. I think we can time it so we are at Johnson Shutins for lunch Saturday.
With beauty all around you, may you walk.

Gideon, you will be happy to know the the gift exchange stove has worked out well for me. It fits perfectly with my DIY Heineken coffee peculator. It has the perfect amount of fuel to bring 1 1/2 cups of water to peculation and peculate for 6 min.

If you have time check it out in action below.

I am defiantly thinking of switching to this setup for our next trip. I have to get that 50 lbs down somewhere and the cook kit sounds like a good place to start.

    Thanks again

PS if you can remember the web site you ordered this from let me know I have been asked a couple of times already.

See everyone in May if not sooner

Nice stove; nice percolator; nice video.

That coffee sure looked perfect to me.

Did I miss you saying ~ how much fuel you added?

I think the most important thing besides the stove is the pot you're going to use on the stove. A beer pot is perfect for this stove because it's so thin/lightweight. that same stove doesn't work quite as well with a titanium pot that's larger. I think you found it's sweet spot Digitizer!

Glad it's working so well for you! The guy who made this (not me) does really good work!!

I didn't actually measure the fuel the first time. However I think it was less then an ounce.

    Nice! That's pretty darn efficient.
