i knew that there had to be good stuff up there cause my maps show lots a green, but i have limited myself, and have not seen anything between Eureka & the Santa Cruz mtns....

i'll be lurking and juggling my full-full calendar ....
Boggs has almost 30 trails from Easy Terrain to Expert Terrain. In the last 6 yrs, I've hiked every one a number of times. I'm putting together a few hikes which people can hike alone or go as a small group. They'll be between 10 to 12 miles. If you hike out early, you can catch the sunrise and have breakfast overlooking all of Lake County and beyond. Look forward to meeting you if you make it.

One Thing is the, well, ONE!
I hope my new Traveler hammock arrives in time to try it out on this hang.
I also have finally added the pole mod to my MacCat tarp, so I'm looking forward to trying that also.

I had 2QZQ add doors to my MacCat Tarp and the pole mod as well. I look forward to trying mine out as well along with some of my other DIY gear & mods.

Hammock Hang at Boggs...Second annual event

I am a little late to this thread, but I am all for it! Count me in too. Thanks EAY and One Thing for following through on this idea of revisiting Boggs for another hammock hang.

I enjoyed the group hang last year, and May should be a pleasant time to be there. BTW thanks for the reminder of when "Mother's Day" falls on this year.

Omerta925, joeyy, and any others, PM me if you need to borrow any hammock related gear in order to comfortably hang with us at Boggs. It should be fun!

I think my wife and I will try to make it, too! We're in the area, and we've been looking for chances to test out our gear

I'm still working on selling her on it, though the pictures from last year's hang certainly helped

Great, we all would love to have ya. It's a great group we had last year and I expect the same this year. We have people who make their own, to everything in between. So it's a great place to test what you have out, and ask questions as well from those of us who've been hanging for many years.

That's great to hear! I suspected that you were, what with all the hike planning and whatnot.

Still waiting on my WB Traveler. I still have my WB blackbird, but isn't a new thing always more entrancing than the old?

This year, I'm not bringing two of everything - just what I would for a backpacking trip.
Except, of course, for fire wood and water (the site has no water - bring what you will want for the weekend). And food.
