Thanks for the new Thread Injector

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to the forum regarding thread injectors (especially Ramblin Rev). Thanks to all of your advice, I found a great Singer for a great price at a local sewing repair shop. I'm not sure the model number, this thing was built before they put model numbers on them. It only has a serial number. It's nothing fancy, but it's built like a tank and simple enough even I can repair it (I think).

Now it's time to start building some gear. First up a new top quilt.

    Thanks again
    Naljta

Looks nice! Take a run through the key here: http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm Should take you about 2 minutes to figure out your model.

looks like a model 66-16. You can use the serial number to find the date the serial number was allocated here.

NWOHanger, thanks for the link. That was very informative.

gmcttr, you're correct. The link NWOHanger posted confirmed its a 66-16 and your link lists it as built in 1952. To think a machine built 60 years ago is still running strong. Sometimes simple is better.
