    Down quilt storage

I'm running out of space to keep my down quilts, is it ok to store them uncompressed in a large tote fuffed up? The Rubbermaid kind? No room to hang them any more, as much as I enjoy looking at them hanging in my closet there is no room.

Ditto. I store most of my bags and quilts in tupperware type plastic containers. I have not had any lofting issues. My rule of thumb, and this does not have any science to back it up, is that I don't compress them more than about 25% in order to fit them in a container.

I think it would be ok as long as they can get totally fluffed up.

I don't use plastic tubs but if I did I would probably skip the vent holes. If it's 100% dry, throw the lid on and call it a day. Many of those totes are not air tight, so that's probably a good thing.
