It looks like everything is near Elkinsville. According to googlemaps, Browning Hill is just south of Elkinsville and Brown Hollow is just to the west of Elkinsville. I have not been to any of these spots, but would love to try them out and become acquainted before the HH.
Is googlemaps putting me in the right spot or is it completely unreliable?

Looking at HH 2013, I found the coordinates from last years hang. What is the hike in like to Browning Hollow? Is it fairly easy. Not great with googlmaps, but appears to be 2-3 miles in.
It's no more than 2 I don't think. If we knew what time you would be getting to the trailhead I could hike out and meet you.

EvillOtter - I'm just waking up now from my 3rd shift job. I live up north in Elkhart. I was planning on leaving up here about 6:15AM (after work), due to the long drive. I would probably get to the trailhead somewhere around between 10-10:30. I'm flexible, but mostly I just want to get outside and get a little backpacking in.
Since your wanting to go later, we can always meet up. Camping (Hanging) is more fun with company...
The Deam would be preferable, because I haven't done it yet. I don't know where Panther creek is. If there is another trailhead you'd like, let me know.

I have been working my boss and it looks like I will take half-day tomorrow, so I could be up there earlier.
I haven't been to Deam either. I'm looking at it now. Somewhere like Hardin's Ridge or Sycamore Trail in Deam would actually be a little closer for me than Brown Hollow.
Sycamore Trail looks like a 5 mile trail, but not sure about any campsites on the trail. I'll keep looking and shoot you a PM with contact info.
evilleotter__ The sycamore loop is really a nice hike__I did it last year and theyre some nice campsites too.. If your looking to hike short then camp and hike out the next daY I suggest going counter clockwise..park at the fire tower and about maybe 1/4 mile in the trail takes off to the right (there is a campsite there too if i remember correctly) you go down some swithcbacks and for the next 3 miles you come across four campsites. three of them i think have the forest signs designating number (1-2-3) Some beautiful ones these are down by the creek.. then its about a four mile hike out. when you come out you'll be on a forest road and if you go right you go to terrell cemetary go left and back to the fire tower. Have a great hike
