All turned out ok. I think my hang angle along with the small knot and .......maybe a little inattentiveness to detail................hey I was trying to relax. And........I did.......till gravity exerted its force and I encountered the ground whom I have sought to abandon along with my tent. In the end................................(pun intended) the ground got its revenge. I think I even heard it laugh............................or maybe it was just a squirrel.........................or maybe just my neighbor.

This exact thing happened to me. I think the neighbor's dog was laughing. The pencil is definitely not strong enough. the whoopie never left the knot, the knot just crushed the pencil. After that, I didn't have any arrow shafts to cut up, so I grabbed a set of knitting needles from WM and made a few sets of toggles. Works like a charm now.

Re: On the knot.....not on the toggle

This story and stories like it are why I hang my set up like this...

Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

    Buy, Try, Learn, Repeat

When you're using a pencil for a toggle, I guess you can dual-purpose and use the pencil to write your own obituary. Ha!.
