I did watch Shug's video. I'm looking for a walkthrough for a first time tarp user.
I've always been a fan of Ray Mears. Somebody on YouTube has an excerpt from one of his shows. He's who I've learned some things from.

Different tarps go up different ways, not to mention the various styles of pitches.. Baker's hut and such.

Tarp hanging ..... Step one: Tie ridgeline cordage between two trees with knots, wraps or use figure 9's. Step two: Stake out corners. Step three: Tweak tarp. Step four: Do it again and again until satisfied and confident. Practice. Have fun doing it. Step five: Hang hammock and nap.
