    These are approx..

I took a string, wrapped it around the middle, then measured it. Bug nets on both.

    WBBB loose - 7", tight 5"
    WBXLC loose - 6 1/2", tight 4 1/2"
The gathered end knot was 5" on both.

By loose, I mean I'm not pulling the string as tight as it will go. I'm giving it some compression, but not much.

Thanks for the review. I'm seriously eyeing this hammock, what with my 186 cm and all..

I'm wondering though, if it would not make more sense to have two separate full-length zippers, one on each side. This would allow for climbing into the hammock from either side (where I camp you often have bush impeding your choices, and if you find a spot but want the head end a certain direction, this can be an issue), as well as opening up a bit on each side to make UQ adjustment a breeze, or easier to reach things you strew about (yes, I suck at order). I would surely take the weight penalty on that, if there is one.

If there are gaps at the ends needed to ensure the removal of the bugnet, you could add a short strip of velcro or smth. I use lazyslugs, so it would be a non-issue for me though.

Or what do you think who have one already - would this not make any sense at all?

I agree, zippers on each side would be nice.

Here was Brandon's response in another thread regarding the zippers:

"To answer a couple new questions, there is only one zipper slider, not two like the standard blackbird. It seems it's not possible to get a separating zipper with two sliders running opposite directions. The single slider starts near the farmost tieout up by your head and opens as you slide toward the foot end, unfortunately this means you can only enter/exit on one side, i know it's a tradeoff."

Thank for the review. I pulled the trigger on one last week. No time to hurry up and wait. Looks like about a 4 week waiting period. I still have my reg BB though

the yeti works on the xlc, the shockcord is a tad tight so we're now including a short piece of cord to slightly extend the uq suspension for 11' hammocks...it's just a small loop of string...maybe about 6" when pulled straight and you just hitch it onto the shockcord if you need a little extra length.

Both the MambaJamba and Superfly have ridgelines of 132", so it seems like you would be fine.
