I can make a simple alfredo sauce (grated parm/rom, butter, cream and some garlic).

maybe someone can make meatballs or sausages.

I will update what I will be doing on the list at some point over the weekend.
I can even bring a ceramic pizza stone we could heat on a grill over coals if anyone wants to try making pizza. I can make dough

@miyanc I believe you are super excited about this trip. You going to any before this one?

Italian sounds good to me! I will bring my usual Hawaiian punch for the dinner. I will bring my UL Coleman stove in case there is a need for it on Saturday night.

Firewood is most welcome! Guaranteed you won't have to take any back! We were scrounging big time for wood at the last hang.

Now that is good to know, I have all Oak and some Hickory, NO PINE YUCK. I am doing some more clearing. One pile in the front of the house and one in the back.

+1 NCPatrick. I believe the correct folks to contact for volunteer trail maintenance in Uwharrie or the Birkhead wilderness are listed below. Best to volunteer for one of their scheduled outings rather than try to schedule an ad-hoc one.

I went to Uwharrie last week to check on the storm damage cleanup progress. I stopped at the ranger station and they said they had been working on it every chance they got starting at hwy 24 and going north but couldn't tell me how much had been done. If you'd like to volunteer here is the contact #910-576-6391 ext 102. As far as chain saws are concerned, they told me you had to attend a FS class, be certified by the FS, wear appropriate safety gear, and be with a FS approved volunteer group. (Otherwise you might get to make a donation). I shot this video starting at hwy 24 Dutchman's Creek TH going north and then crossing over to the UT and coming back south. Every part was passable due to the excellent work of clearing most of the large trees already done. There was one stretch of the UT @ 1 mile from the end that was still a little picky but you could work around it. It's not the greatest video but it puts into perspective a little of the extent of the damage. I'll try to check farther north as soon as I can.

Not a hang, but several cubscout campouts. Which I will hanging at. Yes very excited. Its like coming home from work without any kids at the house. I love the cubscouts and being a cubmaster but it is a lot of work. Being able to just go with my son and not have 60 boys and there parents to fix feed and entertain means good times.
