I would love to make this, but it is the same weekend as the gaming convention in town this year. I wonder if they would be willing to move the convention to the woods.

Not knowing anything about this area was wondering if there is places for kayaking?

You would need some really long extension cords. or more then my goalzero.

Not directly where we are, but the area is full of spots. Badin lake has several parks and beaches and such.

Ok so I got my months mixed up, the convention is in October so my weekend just opened up. Still awaiting my work schedule and kitchen pass, but I'll go in as tentative for now.

I've never done a group hang, but depending on how a few projects at work stagger themselves between now and then I am really going to try to get down there. Nothing fancy to see - just some Warbonnet gear with Dutchware hanging on it

it would be great if you could make it... it is a good group to hang out with! It was a year ago when I was in your shoes & hadn't been to one. Nothing to worry about. Plenty of trees, and lots of gear to look at.
