The Sunday Gravy sounds really good!

I also have a small propane single burner stove that could be used (would need a pot to go with it though, and not sure how much weight it would take - could do probably 2-3 qt ok). My trangia set has 2 1L pots that can be used one at a time or like a double boiler. Not a lot of space for more than 2-3 people.
the more desserts the better... I can bring an extra dutch oven if needed.

My intentions would have been to find out what kind of supplies or interest we had and then contact the rangers or whichever local trail group works those trails and see if we can make it a thing. Although if we invite leatherface we would need to change plans.

I always said it would be nice to have some mod clout.

Sounds great to me. I'll provide whatever pasta is needed for the recipes.

FWIW you can make the sauce/gravy/marinade ahead of time and freeze it in a zip lock (or just store it in the cooler) and then reheat in a pot of water.

Hmmmm cannoli shells are production to make, but there's absolutely nothing to the filling. I wonder how well waffle cones would sub for the shells.

I think I will be part of the desert crew. Can bring Ice cream for the cakes. 4oz V/C/S cups might be in order.

I would say we should prepare enough to feed 10 people because if we have enough people bringing a selection of things it will give enough food for all.

The fryers can be set as low or as high as needed.

Good questions are better then good answers...
Feed 10 or 20? Shoot, I was expecting you to say 30 - 50!! Reheating the Sunday Gravy for as many as 20 should be easy on one of your turkey fryers. Add 2 or 3 pounds of Ziti and we're in business.

I saw someone volunteered to bring the pasta. Now if someone will bring 2 or 3 loaves of Italian bread and maybe some salad then we're good. Add the canoli(sp?) someone spoke of (waffle cone) and a couple more and we won't be able to move after dinner. I may have to bring my heavy weight hammock!

    Really looking forward to this!

if everyone brought food for 10 people we could eat for days. If we had 3 different sauces, bread, salad and enough pasta we could feed 50. Plus people always bring extra stuff( especially if hanging burrito and running feather show up).

I can make a simple alfredo sauce (grated parm/rom, butter, cream and some garlic).

maybe someone can make meatballs or sausages.

I will update what I will be doing on the list at some point over the weekend.

I most likely will bring a 2 layer so more deserts would be in order. But then again I just had "that bad LDL" talk with my Doctor. Maybe I will be able to bring 2 cakes.

We either need to pick a food direction ( i.e. mexican or dutch oven maddness) or at least narrow down some menu options. Besides the chocolate cake.
Cake is good but didn't the last person who said "let them eat cake" lose their head?
