1/8 or 3/32 Shockcord for DIY down UQ?

as the title says, I've finished up my underquilts and am looking to start on the suspensions.

    Full Length

I also made a 3/4 Length that I can use as an insert. I can not for the life of me figure out something intelligent for the suspension system of this one that will allow it to hang nicely, as well as enable me to remove the suspension entirely when I use it as an insert with the Full Length quilt. Anyone have any experience hanging an Hourglass shaped quilt?

Will 3/32 offer enough support for either quilt? Will it provide enough stretch so I can easily get in and out of the hammock? Or should I stick with 1/8 shockcord?

Go with the 1/8" shock cord. UQs need to be pulled up tight and the cord will lose some elasticity in very cold weather when you need it the most.

1/8 or 3/32 Shockcord for DIY down UQ?

I use 1/8" for the side channels and 3/32" for the end channels.
