I can't use the classified at this site (I have not posted enough to be allowed to yet).
Let's work on that. What color is it?

Original Poster should unfold and measure the tarp. He has already been told by Clark that there has been a change in the Vertex dimension.
Whether the previous Vertex tarp / rain-fly with a taper at the foot end, or the current one, they are both fine tarps.
A reason why only more experienced persons are permitted to sell may be that with the experience, they are more likely to appreciate that a buyer is entitled to know what she is getting. In this case, I, experienced with some Clark products, do not know which tarp you have and would offer for sale.
Punultimately: OP's inference that Clark has shelves of product gives pause. On the one hand, if Clark did, and this were the previous Vertex, why would they wish to buy back a technically obsolete model? For that matter, why would they want it if OP was trying to return the current model many months later? They already have a stock of unsold tarps, by OP's presumption.
But, OP's presumption is likely false. We don't know that just because Clark has spent on a web page and sells more expensive hammocks that it is a larger company than, say, Warbonnet Outdoors. I'd guess that JRB has larger inventory (and great service, too!!).
Finally, on Clark's caution: Entirely warranted. An HF member ripped me off, selling me a Vertex tarp with multiple cinder holes on one edge. He would not refund anything, though he knew, once I told him, that the holes came from his campfire that had blown lots of smoke into the hammock and tarp as well. The tarp, like the hammock, was sold to me as near new, used just one weekend, by his girlfriend.

The color is dark/forest green. It's the latest Vertex model. If you would like I can email you pictures. As stated above, Price includes shipping (and I cover Paypal fees) If you're unhappy upon inspection I'll refund 100% of the price you paid. You pay return postage.
Thanks for your interest,
Bob
Thanks Bob, it looks really good.

There are navigation challenges with the Clark web page and some browsers.

within which:

The Vertex tarp is a full 10' wide and 7.5" longer than that. it weighs 18oz, comparable to every other tarp with similar coverage and similar fabric, whether from WarbonnetOutdoors, JacksRBetter, OES, Arrowhead, WL, etc.
For example, this JRB 11 x 10 has more tie outs, but no cat cuts on the 10' / 2 meter sides. http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/jrb-11-x-10-tarp/.

Or http://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/gal...&g2_itemId=148 for the Superfly
