Help with my nezt Dutchware purchase?

I need shock cord to tie out ny superfly, and was looking at tying my own whoopie slings.

How much Amsteel and shock cord should I get? Any neat ways to rig the stuff to add more shiny stuff to the order? ;-)

Might as well order some Zing it for tarp lines while you're at it. With regards to how much of each, it depends on how you like to rig a tarp. Around 100 feet of Zing it is usually enough for me to for lines and for making small continuous loops for prusiks. Shock cord lengths also vary from person to person but I use about 30 feet total for my doors and side tie outs. Many like the tarp flyz and Dutch hooks for tarp rigging.

For making whoopie slings for your hammock, whoopie hooks are popular but I like Dutch biners myself for connecting whoopie slings to continuous loops. For a 6 foot whoopie sling you'll need around 13 feet of amsteel. Order extra because once you make some slings you're going to want to try making other things like continuous loops and soft shackles.
