#295 has landed: DL DB 1.0 dig camo

It came in the mail today, so of course it's gone up on the porch for an experimental run tonight... that lump is husby in a Marmot Never Winter bag on a Downmat UL 7. With a few extra layers of clothes. We'll see how long he stays out there.

    THANK YOU PAPA SMURF!

Oh, and HUGE MORE THANKS to upgrading us to the 10' tree straps... by Washington standards this would probably be described rather blandly as "a good sized tree". The "really big trees" are actually over the mountains from us!

That looks like a nice hammock that would go well with my camo SF

Just got my brown SuperFly yesterday, and it is a good match for that digital camo too since the pattern has quite a bit of tan. We hauled everything over to a local CG to set the tarp up and do some 'test runs'... we ran out of time to get my WBBB up but I got the Grand Trunk UL set up under the SuperFly for the kid to try (note purple boots under the tarp, lol) with husby's hammock 'next door'. You can see a bit of his here.

Dangerbird eats a worm... or a kid... or a kid disguised as a worm...

Another gear-shakedown-day of setting up our stuff, practicing fire starting, making ramen noodles on the OH stove. The kid is having a GREAT TIME as we're getting the wrinkles ironed out. Hopefully we are on the tail end of a major gear purchasing spree getting ready for our first extensive bikepacking/backpacking season in many years. I have a back injury that I'm working around and hammocks have re-opened a chapter I feared was closed forever.

Great hammock and how cool is that that you the husband and daughter all out camping together. I love my DB and have gotten two great nights sleep in it so far. I cannot wait till the weekend to sleep in it again.

Congrats on a great piece of kit.
