Klymit Inertia X Frame - ultralight sleep pad

Has anyone used one of these in hammock or on the ground. If so, what are your thoughts? Seems like a great idea in theory but would like to hear real life experiences.

I posted a question about the klymit x frame too but haven't got any responces. What I have dug up from Google and YouTube is that its body mapping is designed for someone 5'10". It is designed to go inside the sleeping bag and it only weighs 9 Oz and packs down to the size of a soda can. When I first seen it I immediately thought that it might work in a hammock but was wanting to see if anyone else tried it first.... Hopefully someone on HF can share their experience with this pad.

I have the X-lite pad. I tried it with a pad under me for winter camping and it seems that worked fine.
Haven't tried it without a pad underneath because it's been too cold lately!
I'll try it out when the lows are around 35 and check in!

I was early in on the Klymit X-Frame, and it's a great low-frills ground option. It's a little tough on a side sleeper, but with a little wiggling you can make it work.

In about 2 weeks, I'll be giving the X-Frame a shot with the hammock. I'll report back then.

My guess is that it will work nicely since it creates loft pockets and keeps you off the hammock directly, yet you can still lay diagonally since the pad follows you and your bag.

That said, I'll also be carrying a Z-Pad solar and a HotSpot, just in case.

As soon as the temperature rises here in northern Sweden i will give it a try outdoors, i have tested it in a hammock indoors and i think it worked well inside the sleeping bag, but not underneath your sleeping bag, with a Tq i donīt know.

I've been looking at the recon version. You can get one for around $60 from a seller on Amazon or from left-lane sports online. Left lane seems to have them sometimes, but not other times...not sure why. Either way, the recon looks like it would provide more air pockets to keep as bag functional. I'm on my phone or I would hunt down a link for it and attach.

I will be trying one out this weekend. I have a HH Deep Jungle XL with a double bubble pad between the bottom layers. It's supposed to be 12 degrees celsius (53 F) with some wind where I'm going. I will have the pad inside a 40 degree summer bag.
