    Dynaglide vs Amstell

I weigh less than 200 lbs and have thinking of swapping my suspension on my

BB over to Dynaglide. I have made whoopies with Amstell but am wondering about weight savings by switching to Dynaglide. Worth it or not. Anyone know how much weight I would be saving ?

    thanks

Don't take this the wrong way, but the search function on here does work extremely well. And this topic has almost been beaten to death, either way I have copied and pasted the search for you below, enjoy!

"Tighten it just until you feel it begin to give. Then back off 1/2 turn."

    and,

Google may be spoiling us in general browser search with "soundex" on mis-typed entries and homonyms. Here, the spelling matters: Amsteel .

Another way to search the website...
site:hammockforums.net amsteel vs. Dynaglide (or whatever you want to search for.

Some people will say dynaglide is fine, others will say stick with amsteel, if you're looking to save weight you could make UCR's with either as well.

Thanks folks and Craige, I will look into the UCR's as well. Hoe they are no harder to make than whoopies, I have done those.

Here is a link to a thread that SGT Rock did with a video of how me makes his UCR's.

    Hope it helps?

    Dynaglide vs Amstell

I like dynaglide myself. Plenty strong for me, and it does save a little weight. I know I've compared Amsteel whoopies to dynaglide ones before and I believe it's only a weight savings of about 1oz. The straps are the killers when it comes to suspension weight. Even the lightest 1" strap is 6g per foot.
