Just created an account in Geargrams! Thanks for the tip in this thread. My gear is in three cardboard boxes, a few REI bags and hidden in different packs. My dining room table is covered in old and new gear and I've been weighing everything in different combinations. The longer I stare at it the more I freeze up when planning my next trip. Geargrams will definitely help organize and I can decide which items I never use and find a new home for them!
There are two types of people in the world: Those who crave closure
I use gear grams to weigh my gear as well as to make sure I have everything for my trips.

I use a spreadsheet that I made to keep track of gear and weights also
just seems to be an OCD thing with me also
"HANGING OUT" has taken on a whole NEW MEANING
I got the wire rack cube storage from Target and set them up in the closet in the spare bedroom. All the stuff goes into plastic totes in the cubby holes based on category. There's floor space to on side for the backpack and rolled up pads to go and way back out of the way in the other corner I have my poles and my sleeping bag goes into a mesh laundry bag and hangs from the coat hanger pole already in the closet.
can you email me that spreadsheet?
