Questin to pose for all....miles or uphill

When soloing do you do more miles or bag peaks when hammocking.

Also when forum members get together is it more miles they tend to put in or is it peak bagging as well...

Is there a happy medium to the amounts we hike?

Just curious to know what members do.

For myself it is neither. To borrow a phrase from someone on another forum " i do the ascetic hike". I go to a place where i want to hang out and let mother nature seep in.

When I'm with a group, there's a mix of styles. Some trips are all about getting somewhere and others are about going just far enough to find a scenic spot to share stories around a fire.

I think the same mix applies to my solo hikes, depending on my mood.

+1, except I to to a place which I am able to reach. Lots of places I would love to go hang, but can't get there. One reason I like trip reports--I can go along.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

+1, for me this is the most important part. I also have a limit on where I can get to.
