Made me laugh out loud - scary since it what I was thinking!


I am a huge fan of WB products and Brandon. Nothing but good things to say. And love when new gear is introduced. When I saw the XLC, the first thing I thought of was 'all that netting to rip' but I know for sure that Brandon is certainly the type to test, test, re-test and then test again before releasing something.

There is always going to be those few anomalies in anything right?!

I agree with you. No matter how many times you test, retest and test again those out of the way things popup and get you.

I have now had my XLC up about 10 times. Three of them for weekend trips. No issues at all with the hammock itself. I did however hang the head end a bit too high and ended up sliding down a bit creating the dreaded calf ridge. At any rate my guess this is very isolated and you will not hear of many repeats like this.

This is the first anyone has said anything happening to this hammock. Don't think Brandon didn't have testing time on this design, the guy doesn't put anything out he doesn't trust. My guess is there is more to it than "I laid in the hammock and the netting ripped"...

As politely as possible, you'd be wrong. I've opted to return it and Brandon did not balk at a refund. Glad others are working out for them.

No offense intended, not trying to imply you did something wrong personally. I just didn't think someone should jump to conclusions after one reported incident.
