Tarp Stake Pokes Hole in Tarp!!

A Crazy thing happened to me last night. I was camping in the back yard with my doggies (as always) And there was 30mph wind gusts. One of my MSR Ground Hog Stakes came loose and the wind caused the tarp to flap like crazy until I could get out and grab it. Well it hung on to that stake and thrashed it into itself causing a nice hole. MSR Ground Hogs are not even that sharp! Crazy!

Has this ever happened to anyone before?
    Repair suggestions?

Tear-Aid has been used successfully by several people for fabric repair.

Forum search results for tear-aid here.

    angrysparrow,

You are always quick to provide help (with links!) to those in need. I know I have appreciated it in the past...and I know others do, as well.

ricegravy - follow those links from angrysparrow. I recently repaired my tarp with a small tear using Tear-Aid and am VERY pleased.

I have never hung in wind like we had last night before.
Maybe next time I'll lay a rock on top of it or something.
It was anchored in sand, that might also be a factor.
Sand sand sand in my neck of South Carolina. (Better than red clay)

    Have you already ordered?
    How large is the hole?

I may have enough Tear-Aid left over. I can send some to you via USPS.
PM me your address and I'll send some to you ASAP.

    Amen brother!!! Red clay sucks!
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.
