    Ridge Runner Hammock Stand?

I have a Warbonnet Ridge Runner and have made a turtle dog stand that I have only used with my Skeeter Beater Pro. I am going to be quite a bit of camping with the Cub Scouts this spring and summer and where we camp the trees are typically pretty far away from the main camping area. Does anyone have any ideas on a stand that can be used for the Ridge Runner?

My thought is the Turtle Dog Stand won't be far enough apart to accomodate the Ridge Runner.

No reason a turtkedog stand won't work... just make a longer ridge pole....

I have RR on hammock stand at home, 156" wide and the RR hangs perfectly on it. Adjust length of ridge pole and you should be good to go. Nice thing at 156" is you can use 12' RL tarps if needed...

Yup, what he said... also, since a RR needs to be a little bit tighter/flatter than a typical gathered end hammock you can expect it to ride a little bit higher than a gathered end hammock (which is a good thing... many seem to have problems with their hammock riding a bit low).

As stated, the WBRR works well with the turtlelady/dog stands with a long ridgepole...https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...&postcount=671

that is a great pic. I guess my concern was that the ridgepole would bend too much if it was any longer. I think mine is currently 11ft? I guess I should set it up and try it out

Just noticed my typo...should have been 16', not 16".

If the ridgepole flexes too much, you either have it rigged wrong or need a stronger/larger diameter pole.
