    Left turn at Albuquerque?

Hey guys, I'm going to be traveling for business to Albuquerque and have two questions.

    1. Can I get some recommendations on some places for a two-night hike in the area? I'll have a rental car and will be able to hike from Friday evening until Sunday evening. I don't mind hiking after dark on Friday, so if it's a little ways away from the city, that's fine. More remote is better.

    2. How's the hanging out there? I'll be bringing a pad in case there aren't trees, but I definitely want to try my new homemade hammock if possible.

I guess if I had to pick, I'd rather have a really sweet hike and sleep on the ground than a mediocre hike with trees, but I'm hoping I can get both.

    Thanks a lot.

Up towards Los Alamos there is some nice stuff, but I couldn't tell you much more about it.

Looks like that would be a tough trail. I think that is part of how Andrew Skurka is going to connect the PCT with the CT.
