    Help with ridgerunner spreader bars

So I just received my new to me ridgerunner and I can't for the life of me figure out how the spreader bars go together. I think I tried every combo and none allowed the 4 inch extension to fit. Also should the hea end look like the pic below? I seems the end cap never really extends like the foot end. Sorry for the noob question but this is my first experience with a bridge hammock

Dude if im getting what your saying right ,I think you have the head end bars at the bottom. Im going by memory so if im wrong someone please post up,but the two long bars are used for the top, with the four inch piece in the middle.
The two remaining pieces are for the foot end. The foot end is more narrow than the head when assembled. Try it with the four inch piece removed from the top, thats how i found it to be most confortable for me . Congrats on your new gear, its a great hammock .

Ps if you look at your pics you can see the bug screen on the foot is really pulled tight ,while the head end is really sagging in the middle. Be patient ,and have fun with it ,you will be on cloud nine when you get to lie in it.

looks like you have the head vs foot end correct (the foot end looks correct so i don't think you have the pieces mixed up or anything)

you won't be able to get the 4" extension into the head end pole without first taking the head end pole out of the hammock, not sure if maybe you were trying to do this with the bar already on the hammock or not.

Hairbear is correct. The two shorter bars are the foot end while the two longer bars are the head end. The 4 inch extension can be added to the middle of the head end....if it does not want to fit without a fight you may have the hammock hung to tightly, loosen the suspension and try again. To open and raise up the end cap pass the bar through the loop of shock cord on the middle of the end cap and tighten with the cord lock.

Brandon (Warbonnetguy) said what I was thinking. You can't get the 4" extension bar in while the other two are connected to the ends. Has to be put in as one piece...

Got it...thanks everyone. Guess I was overwhelmed with excitement and didn't look at anything too closely. I love this hammock. Def. the most comfortable one I've used. Might even be able to get my wife out with me once she tries the RR out.

It is an unreal hammock, glad you got it sorted.

I just looked at the bugnet shock cord to determine head and foot end.

Firs tthing I did was lay on my stomach.

    Epic.
