    Kia Ora from New Zealand

    Hi all,

I wanted to stop in and say kia ora (hello) from way downunder in New Zealand. I guess that means that I hang upside down compared to most on HF. I'm just getting into this hanging from trees escapade and I'm really enjoying the wealth of information here on HF. It is definitely stoking my enthusiasm!
I guess the chances of hanging with many of you are pretty slim (any other Kiwis about?), but I look forward to continuing my education among you all.

    See you around,

    Welcome from N. California

Hey there, welcome from Northern California. I met one of your Kiwis on the AT. He would sleep by where everyone hung their bear bags. He really wanted to see a bear. I didn't see him after North Carolina. He just might have gotten to see his bear.

I'm looking to be paying a visit down under to hike the New Zealand Trail in a few years.

Hope you feel at home here.

Welcome from guam! I almost made a vacation down there but mrs fish and I decided we'd wait till my son (guppy) was a little older. To answer your question, there is only one other I know of down the in NZ and I haven't seen him around for a few months. Doesn't mean there aren't more, but I haven't seen any to my recollection.

Welcome from South Carolina in the US.
I look forward to some pictures of a "hanging from trees escapade".

Welcome from Michigan! I actually got married on the Coromandel peninsula at Cathedral Cove , beautiful country down there for sure. I'd sure like to make it back someday. Shiw us some pix when you get back.
    Good luck,
