You mean like winter snow-camping in general or specifically sleeping on top of the snow in Betamid?
If you mean, specifically on the ground in the Betamid, it was alright. Betamid on snow is a common setup for snowcamping with XC skiers and snowshoers. I got enough sleep at night and only woke up to pee, roll around and shed layers when too warm.
I had a full length RidgeRest and 3/4 length ThermaRest underneath. A hammock with PeaPod and accessories would be more comfortable of course but this was an experiment to try out the Betamid in snow. I was surprisingly warm in the Betamid at night even when the heater was not on.
Had I been in a hammock, I would've had to wear more clothes to attain the same level of warmth, even with a Speer PeaPod and SB in a Speer Winter Tarp with hot water bottle. But again, as I was told on another thread on this forum, the hammock is more comfortable.
