    If you are interested in a lightweight poncho that doesn't need to take a lot of punishment look for Dri Ducks poncho - there's another thread here talking about where JRB is retrofitting them to make light weathershields with them.

    Driducks

    I like the concept of the driduck poncho. I am a little worried about its durability. Did they say how much they are going to cost yet? I also want the poncho to be a little bigger then the driducks version.

    BTW the shower test DID fail. LOL. Now, where is my can of low odor mineral spirts and tube of silicone!

    Isn't it waterproof to 1 or 2 psi? Which isn't much, but still enough for most of our uses. I think the old coated nylons and Goretex were wp to about 100 psi or close to it.

    I agree... my Army Surplus poncho is a lot bigger than the DriDucks poncho. I can still do the mod to make it an undercover for one of my kids hammocks. It will just be a little wider.
