    Hello from Tampa Bay Florida

Not a Hammock camper yet, but I am looking at the option. Currently I have a low end tent that I know will need to be replaced, or at least augmented. I am heading out on my first overnight trip in almost 20 years this next weekend. In Florida there are a lot of things that make you want to stay off the ground.

    Welcome from Polk county!

We have a hike-n-hang (about 10-12 miles total from Fri evening to Sunday afternoon) coming up on April 5-7 (I think those are the correct days) not too far from you... maybe an hour and a half drive to get to the meeting spot.

The dates in the title to the post aren't correct because you can't edit the title but the body of the post is correct. You could come out and stay in your tent or you could probably borrow some gear and sleep in a hammock (but you might want to bring your tent too in case you can't find your sweet spot in a hammock and need to get some sleep).
