    Walmart GroundHog Knockoff

So saw at Walmart the other day some MSR GroundHog knockoffs.....Coghlan's Ultralight Tent Pegs, 9", 4ct Forget how much they had them listed for. My friend bought a set and they were alot longer than my MSR GroundHogs. Think my GroundHogs are only 6". Anyways, thought I'd share.

I just saw these today too, I added them to an Amazon order I was placing...$4.38 with free shipping.

    Nice for the price.

I bought some of these, and used them this past winter -- worked great with the extra length. I recall them being around $4/pack when I bought them.

I have a bunch of those too. They're quite a bargain and I haven't damaged one yet...

I think I paid $3 for mine at Wal-Mart. I bent one with my boot, but they seem pretty decent overall. I haven't got any Groundhogs to compare them to, but they have held well in some soft soils.

I have bought about 12 of these in the past. They do work great and I haven't damaged one yet either. Have had them for a couple of seasons.

I've got five out of eight left ... they will bend and will break ... but for the cost and the size they are a lot better option than some others out there. That said, I do like the MSR better ... much harder and more durable.

I used 'em for my tent this past weekend and they worked out great. Plenty strong, good holding power, and easier to pull out of the ground than ABS. Plus, $3 for 4 vs. $2.50 for 1 = no brainer.
