    Sweet! Just let me know

    Walmart down sleeping bags?

Could very well have been in the wrong place. I was just putting out feelers to if the experts have used them, or if I was way off. I'll check again next time I go.

Years ago several down products and name brands were purchased by older relatives and then I thought I could harvest the down for other cool stuff for a DIY project.. imagine my dismay opening an "exspensive" name brand pillow and all I found was feathers! There is no such thing as a 800 loft down pillow as it would not retain shape... see the picture below.

Simple **** folks... doesn't matter where you get it it - it's clear what you pay.

I got two of the 70 dollar bags and they work great. Down to 40 so far with a 0 degree uq.

Wow! I'd buy as many as I could get my hands on at that price! My store still has the regular price on them.

Not true. I've purchased and harvested down from 800 FP pillows (search for Bloomingdale My Luxe) and they were pure high quality down. Recently I remember seeing comments from individuals that were buying closeout 550 fill pillows, all down as well. Some pillows do have feathers, or a feather core for support - but usually the hang tag will specify.

While I agree in concept, one can aquire high quality down without the high cost.
