    Snakeskins and hammock straps

I'm not sure if anyone has tried this, but it was a revelation for me. I never liked just wrapping the straps around the hammock and stuffing them in my dry pack. They also become tangled with all the twisting. So what I have done is put them in a stuff sack. Simple right? Just thought I'd pass it along.

    Yall guys are too much.

Ok, back at TopicVille. Yeah Oms, I have a stuff sack for my snakeskins too...I had to convince myself several times that it was ok to do this because the snakeskins are basically their own stuff sack. It was like making a bag to hold a bag type of thing. lol...But I agree its a good idea if you dont mind the extra ounce of weight.

My python skin and tarp reside in the bishop bag with my hammock, one less stuff sack to carry. Before I started using the bishop bag, I did have a separate stuff sack the python skin and tarp.

I would think by putting it all together there is a good chance of getting the hammock wet or even worse getting tree sap on everything. Just a thought

Right now I just put it all in one bag with the hammock (Nano 7) but when things start getting wet, I'm thinking a detachable suspension via Dutch whoopie hooks will come in handy. Then I think my suspension will just get stuffed into an outer netting pocket on my pack.

I have a separate 'dirty bag' for straps & stakes. The pine trees out here like to cover everything w/ pitch.
