Where to put my pack

Next time out, I'm going to lash a branch crosswise across the triangle on my ridgerunner suspension. Then I will simply hang my pack by looping the shoulder straps over the ends of the branch. Haven't tried it yet but I think it'll work.

I hang my pack from my hammock ridgeline near my knees. If I'm sleeping on the diagonal head right, feet left, then I would hang it on the right side.

I used to leave it laying on Tyvek underneath my tarp, but an evil squirrel cured me of that habit. Little sucker went into my pack, pulled out my Swedish Bahco folding saw, and started carrying it away. I saw him just before he headed up a tree with it. I ran at him and he dropped it. I'm not sure what he was gonna do with it.

That was the seldom seen logging squirrel, it's a good thing you stopped him, with a saw you might of had a clearcut by morning.
